Though He Bear Long

This might not speak to some of you now, as it will in the days ahead. -- D

THOUGH HE BEAR LONG…

"And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though He bear long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall He find faith on the earth?" (Luke 18:7-8 KJV)

This seems to be a passage of scripture that the KJV translators got right, something that many other bible translators didn't get so right. I'll explain to you briefly here just what I believe this means...

Beloved, God allows his righteous ones to suffer in many different ways, and though they cry out to Him for deliverance day and night, He "bears long with them." This means that He does not answer their prayers for deliverance right away (sometimes not for many years), for in the waiting, in the delay to seeing their prayers fulfilled, God does a deep heart work. This is often a work of building deep faith and trust in God alone, the process of forming a people who are driven into God Himself in the face of great adversity and affliction.

Not all Christians are driven into God in the face of their trials though. For many, when they don't see God come through for them IN THEIR TIMING, their faith collapses, and they seek out another source of help (or they become just plain miserable). It is in this context that Jesus said ...

"Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall He find faith on the earth?"

Beloved, Jesus was not talking of the kind of faith by which one is justified, here, but the kind of faith that insists on seeking only God for deliverance when one is found in the face of adversity, tribulation and affliction. This is a rare kind of faith, indeed.

Dear friends; the Lord is now coming (in Spirit) to prepare a people for the age of Tabernacles. To this, most of you will probably agree. What we need to be aware of though, is that a VERY HOT FIRE (something hotter than many of us have ever experienced before) will precede Him in this "coming" ... "a fire goes before Him" (Psalm 97:3). It is in this fire, beloved, that the kind of faith that the Lord is looking for will be perfected (matured) in a remnant.

Brothers and sisters, though He "bear long" with us in His coming to us in FIRE, will He find faith IN US when He comes to meet with us face to Face? Or will He still find in us then the carnal stinking thinking of fallen men, and this because we ran from His fire when we should have embraced it?

I share with you here something written several years ago, but for today -- more on the SECOND WORK of the Atonement.

A PLACE FOR US ... A PLACE FOR GOD
BY: DAVID WEBER - MAY 9, 2006

2000 years go Jesus went to the cross, and in so doing He obtained eternal redemption for us by His blood. In this way He prepared a place in the Father FOR US. This is part one of a two part atonement work. And now beloved ones, at the end of this age, it is time for the fulfillment of part two of that work. That is this:

"Even so it is that Christ, having been offered to take upon Himself and bear as a burden the sins of many once and once for all, will appear a second time, not to carry any burden of sin nor to deal with sin, but to bring to full salvation to those who are [eagerly, constantly, and patiently] waiting for and expecting Him."

Dear and blessed saints, a mystical page has been turned in the spirit, and God is now finishing His work of preparing IN US a place for God Himself. Yes... He is coming suddenly to His temple, and the only one who will be able to stand in this unprecedented fiery "coming" to us IS Christ Himself... that is; Christ in us; the glory of God in men.

THAT, dear ones, is the End for which your fiery trials were, and are even now being prepared for you BY THE FATHER. Please realize that the suffering that you might experience THROUGH these trials is nothing compared to the glory that will come forth from within you BECAUSE OF THEM.

So... in whatever you may be going through now, or whatever might come your way in near the future ... rejoice!! You are not in a war against the devil, so much as the Father is now subjecting you to higher levels of spiritual warfare as a means to purge away all of the vestiges of your carnal nature once and for all! This is a second heaven war that we must sometimes pass through in order to get to the third heaven (ask the Father about this).

Oh, dear friends in Christ, call me crazy if you will, but God is soon going to have a remnant of called out ones who will present to Him lives wholly sanctified and sacrificed; they will present to Him actual offerings of righteousness. Our Father is SOON going to have a people who can even say as Jesus did, "I of mine own self can do nothing" for there will no longer be any self-life left in them; no longer any "conflict of interest" between the will of God and the soulish ways of men.

God IS bringing many sons to glory, dear Christians. And THAT has absolutely NOTHING to do the commonly held Christian (mis)conceptions of "dying and going to heaven" or getting caught up in an escape "pre-tribulation rapture."

It is "through much tribulation" that we enter the Kingdom folks, for that IS THE WAY appointed for God's own - the way of the CROSS. THAT is the way to a self-life crucified. And THAT is the ONLY way for the LIFE of Christ to come forth from WITHIN US with power and great glory!
Oh hallelujah...

May this word find its rightful place in your heart…
