Thunder and Rain

This is just a little morsel of something to chew on, while we wait for the remainder of those who are going to respond to respond ...

I've shared with you quite a few times in the past how king Saul is a type for the church under Pentecost. Well, in this day, when it seems that the latter rains are beginning to fall, we can also benefit by seeing that in the story of Saul there is also a testimony of the great latter rains.

There is no doubt that Saul was not exactly the ideal ruler in his day (even as most all of the church under Pentecost has been pretty much of a mess), and as a testimony (to the people) of the corruption of the whole Saul order of government, the prophet Samuel called upon Yahweh to send “thunder and rain." Samuel said in 1 Samuel 12:17-18, “I will call to Yahweh, that He may send thunder and rain. Then you will know and see that your wickedness is great which you have done in the sight of Yahweh by asking for yourselves a king.” (1 Samuel 12:17-18).

I'm not sure if you can see this yet or not, beloved, but this is a testimony of the latter rain outpouring, and of a modern day "Carmel" showdown between the genuine prophets of the Lord (the Elijah work), and the modern day prophets of Baal (Babylon).

Elijah is called the prophet of restoration, dear ones. And what that means for us is that through a prophetic remnant soon to be empowered by the latter rains (the end of the age outpouring of the Spirit), a genuine altar of worship will once again be built unto Yahweh. That bespeaks of lives lived as genuine sacrifices unto God, beloved ones, and of a restoration of the truth -- which has been lying as "dead in the streets of the great city" (Babylon) for far, far, too long.

There is a tremendous restoration work at every hand coming to the the church, dearly beloved. Oh, glory hallelujah.

The Elijah Work

“Behold, I am going to send you Elijah the prophet before the great and terrible Day of the Lord.” (Malachi 4:5)

“And He answered them and said, “Elijah is coming and will restore all things; but I say to you Elijah has already come, and they did not recognize him, but did to him whatever they wished...” (Matthew 17:11-12)

Beloved, there are many parallels found in the events that led up to and surrounded the coming of the Son of God at the fulfillment of Passover and the events that shall lead up to another “coming” or manifestation of Christ in our day. One of these things is the coming of the spirit of Elijah to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

Before Jesus came on the scene 2000 years ago, John the Baptist had come in the spirit and power of Elijah as Christ’s forerunner, prophesying and preaching to the people of their need to repent (change their minds) so that they might be prepared for the Lord’s coming. John was the son of a priest and could have found a career in the old religious order, yet he was called by God to minister outside the walls of the established system of organized religion, and thereby was also outside of the jurisdiction and fellowship of the blind religious leaders of his day. Some of the common people listened to John and received what he had to say to them, but the Scribes and the Pharisees came only to mock and ridicule John as a strange (so-called) “New Order" fanatic.

Dear friends, this same scenario is being played out once again in our day as the Lord prepares His people for His coming at Tabernacles. God has a prophetic ministry in the land crying out for the church to prepare for the next stage of the Kingdom, but the leaders of the religious systems and institutions of men have caused many of their followers to fear this prophetic ministry.

But some of God’s people (just a remnant) are listening to their spirit which now bears witness with the modern day "voice in the wilderness,” and these are coming out of the harlot systems of religion and into an acceptance of the truth in preparation for the manifestation of the (corporate) Son at Tabernacles.

Beloved, the scriptures reveal to us that it will be the spirit of Elijah that will bring restoration to God’s children as a preparation for the coming age, and this by anointing true apostolic and prophetic leadership in the church which will ultimately destroy that which has kept God’s children in bondage to religion and false doctrine, specifically; the so called "leadership" that is in agreement with a religious spirit that opposes the prophetic word of the Lord. In Old Testament type, this is seen very clearly in Elijah’s confrontation with Ahab, Jezebel, and the false prophets of Baal.

Dear Christians, there is a spirit of Elijah with a quintessential prophetic character that is wholly separated unto God and therefore has a confident knowledge of God. This is the spirit that shall come upon a small group of people in the end of this age for the purpose of preparing a much larger group of people for the age to come. Those anointed with this spirit will have the same authority and audacity as that which was given to Elijah and John in their respective days, and that, so that these servants of the Lord can perform the last day's "Elijah Work" which is the confrontation of a church system that has become apostate. This company of prophets will do this work by challenging and then revealing the things that are false in the church today, and they will do that by bringing forth a demonstration of God ... and a revelation of God ... in holy fire.

It is amazing just how the Lord ties all of this together, but He has revealed recently that His plan to fully save us (mature us) is through His judgments and His glory both manifested simultaneously. This is the simultaneous revelation of the depravity of man and the revelation of the glory of God as seen in the face of Jesus Christ. This is the fiery dealings of God which are administered in the Face of the Lamb.

But get this also, folks (if you can) ...

This that I speak of here is also the "Latter Rain" outpouring of the Holy Spirit and IS the revelation of the "Seven Thunders." There is THUNDER that shall accompany the Latter Rain, beloved, and that thunder is the fiery judgments of God that shall be manifested right along with God's great glory.

This whole thing, somehow, is an "Elijah Work." It seems to me that the things that John was asked not to "write down" many, many years ago, are soon going to be SPOKEN very plainly, and that, THROUGH an Elijah remnant , and that, all during the outpouring of the great Latter Rains.

Get what you can of this by the Spirit, beloved. I don't feel led to say any more on this now ...

I sense that we are very close to the time for the manifestation of the "two witnesses." This will be the Elijah work. This will be a people who will show in themselves both the age that is coming and something that will never end -- God glorified in men.

Beloved, this is what true and righteous witnesses (of the Father) are, and IS what we are called to be ...
