LITTLE LETTER Feb/Mar 2008

Carl R. Schwing

As it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yea, the deep things of God (1 Cor 2:9+10).

Down through the history of man there have always been, among the people, stargazers, free thinkers, explorers and the adventuresome. Ones who dared to challenge, or defy, the accepted theories and philosophies of their time. There were not many, just a few from the masses. They sought for new stars and new galaxies. They sought for new concepts and new worlds. They dared to move on, to search and to discover; even though they met with great resistance and ridicule.

This is also true in the world of religion. There have always been those who could not find fulfillment in the accepted ways and beliefs of man. They always knew there was more than just the little world of religion which they were part of. So, they dared to leave the "camp" to seek for the deeper things of God. They were they pioneer-sons; seeking and searching for the City of God. They dared to venture into the frontier of the realms of the Spirit; holy spies scouting out the unknown regions which lied ahead. And in their searching, the Spirit revealed unto them the deep things of God and the lofty places of the most High. Though many were "called" there were just a few out of the multitudes that were predestined to throw themselves energetically and unconditionally upon the pathway back to God. Consequently, they were rejected and often persecuted by the brethren.

They knew at the on-start how difficult it would be... to even imagine what it would be like, to break the barriers of the unseen realms. What it would be like to wait and wait, often for years, seeing nothing but the horizon of eternity. Though the horizon was awesome and beautiful... it was empty. Still they waited in the grip of wonder. Wonder of what might lie ahead. Wonder of what might appear. Wonder of the immensity. So, they planted all of their wondering down deep within their souls and continued to wait upon the Lord. They waited in holy expectation. They prayed for the gentle moving of the Spirit. They hoped...pure...sacred...marvelous hope.

At first it was no more than a haze upon the horizon of eternity. So, they were still and watched. They watched. Then, there was a blurry spot, just a shadow upon the borders of the unseen realm. They waited and watched as the stain slowly spread along the horizon, taking form, until the moment they let themselves believe... until the moment they dared to whisper the word: "Home."

Home.. Life.. Resurrection coming out of the vast unknown; coming out of the vast immensity. And there, in the magnificent magnified white light of God, in full view, my beloved, was the City of God, the Father's House and the Eternal Temple... the many-membered, glorified, Body of Christ. This is the image of the heavenly. Such greatness made them feel small. They wondered: Did they enter into His greatness, or did His greatness enter into them? They looked... they listened... then, they shouted: "Jesus Christ is Lord from everlasting to everlasting!"

From the Highlands of the Lord they could see the great power and glory of the Everlasting Father. And by the light of His eternal Son, The Divine Illuminator, they could clearly see the things and the places that He had prepared for them; for all who love Him; for all the souls of Mankind; for all Creation.

They could see rich lands of the Spirit spread out before them and hallowed valleys and mountain peaks of deity.Where The Eternal Presence covered all things. Where the Father's delight and good pleasure is the desire of every glorified soul. Where light and life and love flow unceasingly from the heart of God. Where the accomplishments of the faithful are endless. Ah, where God is all and in all.

From those sacred Highlands they could see each precious living Stone that formed the Father's holy house. They could hear their whispered praise as He walked and dwelled among them. He called them by name and they sparkled in the brilliant light of His matchless beauty. They could see the image of the invisible God appearing in each Stone.

They could hear the call of the Spirit as multitudes of hungry souls ascended to the Secret Place of the Most High. There, to have fellowship with the Father and to feast at His table.

They could see vast fields where the golden grains of eternal life grow; fields, where the saved of the earth reap their inheritance in Christ Jesus.

They could see the dwelling places of the heavenly host and purposes they serve: They dress the place of their abode. They nourish and garnish the works of the Father's hands. They are the administrators of peace and harmony. They delight themselves in the ways of the Lord. They eat and drink of the Father's good pleasure. They wear the garments of eternal light.

They could see the things that are to come taking shape as the presence of the Father passed over them.

They could see the saints and the martyrs for Jesus; chosen to be the Holy Ones of the Temple. There, to give love and adoration to the Lamb upon the altar. The Lamb twice slain; that man might be twice born. The Lamb whose blood washed away the sins of the world. The doors of the Temple are always open, that all, who bear the Crimson Mark, might enter to offer thanksgiving, glory and honor to the Redeemer of their souls.

They could see the seats that await them in the Father's mighty council of Sons. They could see Christ Jesus standing and waiting for their return to the Father's House. Their hearts burned, with holy and passionate flames of love, for Him they call their "Elder Brother."

Then, they drawn into the pure white light of God. Without a word being spoken they knew. They knew that this was not the end of the pathway. It was where it had begun... deep within the heart of God.

Now, they wait for their other brothers to come and enter into the fullness of Union with God. They wait... they watch... for shadows to appear upon the horizon of eternity. Held in the grip of love and joyous anticipation... they wait and watch. They wait and watch for that precious, glorious and timeless moment when their other brothers appear upon the horizon. Waiting to be together with them, once again, in their Father's House. There, to exalt the Kingdom, the power and the glory of their Everlasting Father, throughout the endless Ages.

The sacred secret is deep within us, clear and beautiful to behold in our journey with the Wind of His Spirit. We travel to so many castles, so to speak, entering each room timidly, excitedly or with boldness, each way holds the power of unique catalysts, carrying us higher in His love.
