A recent (17th Feb 08) email by David Weber.

--------------------------------------------------------

This is something that I shared with a local pastor today (I actually "went to church" today -LOL), and is something that seems fitting as a follow-up to my last few e-mails, so I'm passing it along -- D

--------------------------------------------------------

After our very brief talk, today, I feel led to share something with you which might help to expose another one of Christendom's erroneous doctrines; something that is keeping many people from a greater revelation of the Family Elohim, and is also keeping many people from understanding (and then flowing in) the authority that is rightfully theirs as new creations in Christ (as sons of God/sons of men -- authority in heaven /earth).

R...., when we are out in the streets, we almost always see our prayers come to pass
exactly as we pray them, and that, because we simply bear witness on earth to what the Father has already revealed to us in heaven. This is what I was trying to touch on with you today, R..., about walking "in heaven" though our feet be walking through hell on earth.

Anyhow, maybe you'll get something from this article, although I'm sure it'll be somewhat of an assault on much of your traditional thinking. I love you, man. -- D

The Effulgence of God’s Glory

David Weber

“Yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom are all things and we exist for Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we exist through Him.”
(1 Corinthians 8:6)

Beloved, several years ago the Father impressed upon me the need to wait upon Him for a revelation of Jesus Christ’s relationship to the Father as His Son. As I waited and prayed about that specifically, I realized that I had never asked the Father directly about the truth regarding the traditional teaching known as “The Trinity Doctrine," but rather I had somehow just accepted a pretty muddled doctrine exactly as it had been taught to me by men. I realized at that time that I needed to hear from God Himself about this subject, so I waited - and I waited - and I waited ... and this is what was given to me...

The “Trinity doctrine,” although having within it some elements of truth, is filled with gross error which has confused and blinded many of God’s children to Jesus’ true relationship to the Father as the Son. As religious people seem to do with most things that they cannot quite understand, Christian religionists have put God the Father and the Son in a pretty package constructed out of man’s understanding and carnal reasoning, and have then presented it to God’s children all wrapped up with a pretty bow on it. I will try to share with you in the best way that I can what the Lord has revealed to me about this.

The “Trinity” is usually expressed in terms such as this...

“There are three persons in One Godhead ... God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, Who have existed from eternity. All three are One God but are nevertheless distinct.”

That is what the traditional teaching of man has brought to us about this, but no one can explain just what that really means. Let me now try to share with you what the Holy Spirit has revealed to me about this...

God is the Father and the source of all, and His Son is the channel through Whom all exists. So in a relative sense, Christ is the begotten God to all of creation, but because He serves Another, His God and Father, He is the Channel and not the Source. There is only One God and Father (Who is Spirit), and because He is unlike anything that we can perceive, He has revealed His divine image and expression to us in His Son. The Son is the audible Word of the inaudible One, and the visible Image of the invisible One. All men are to honor the Son as they honor the Father, for the Son is the full Expression and Manifestation of the Father, but the Father is, and always will be ... the One and only God Supreme - Whom the Son is also in subjection to.

Beloved, the Son has a Father ... the Father has no Father. There is only one God and Father, from Whom have come all things and we exist for Him. There is one Lord - Jesus Christ, by Whom are all things and we exist through Him. There is one Spirit, Who is the Power of the Most High as the Spirit comes upon, comes within, overshadows, and communes with a person or people through the ministry of the Father and the Son. This is not the “Trinity” as we have understood it to be, but there is certainly "triunity" between the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and because of that "triunity," the Son can proclaim, "I and My Father are One (in will and purpose)."

Beloved ones, in the Scriptures are mentioned many "beginnings" but only one absolute beginning where the definite article "The" is used. And that is in Revelation 3:14 where it says that Christ Himself, as God's Son, is "The Beginning of the Creation of God" - or God's Creative Original. He is the Beginning and the Consummation, the A and the Z, the Alpha and the Omega. He is before all things and all things were created by Him, for Him, and through Him. Figuratively speaking, Jesus has always been the Son of God from the beginning; not absolutely God in the sense that He is the Father, but still God - as He is the Father's full Expression; the Channel through whom the whole of the universe (both visible and invisible) was created... is now being purified and perfected... and shall eventually be made completely perfect in Him.

In Christ, the ages of time itself were even created, and all of creation is under His sway as He has been given all power and authority because He is the Son of God, the Firstborn of creation. But beloved ones, the Scriptures never refer to Jesus as “God the Son”... although religion has done that in an attempt to support another one of its erroneous doctrines. Now I’m not trying to rob Jesus of His glory as the Son of God; He is the Creator and Sustainer of the universe and He is the Effulgence of God's magnificent glory as it radiates through Him. But to make Him “The Deity” in the absolute sense that He is also the Father, robs Him of His glory. How is that? Christ always serves His Father.... That is His glory! The writers of the Scriptures never taught that God is One yet really three within a mysterious Godhead. Dear ones, that teaching comes from religious Babylon.

Before Jesus Christ came as a man 2000 years ago, He had the right to appear in the form of God, as equal to God, as the One who diffuses the flood of God’s resplendent light and radiant glory in every way, but He nevertheless emptied Himself of that glory to come in the form of a man. As a man, Jesus was not God in the absolute sense (the Father), nor was He just a man, but He was a unique combination of God the Father (Who is Spirit) expressed in the form of a fleshly human being. Jesus, the Firstborn of creation; God’s creative Original; divested Himself of the glory that He had with the Father from the beginning so that He could come in the form of a slave, as a human, to die the sacrificial death of the cross! That is true humility, love and grace! And because of that, God has highly exalted Him as Lord and Christ; and has now seated Him at His right hand until all enemies are put under His feet. Who exalted Him? GOD (The Father) exalted Him ... for Christ never exalts Himself. Who’s right hand? GOD’S right hand ... for Jesus Christ is the full Expression and Out-raying of everything that God is. But there is only One God and Father! Christ is the Mediator between God and Mankind. How could Christ mediate with Himself if He were the One and only God and Father? That makes no sense ... unless of course, we understand His relationship to the Father as that of a perfectly submitted Son.

Have any of you ever really thought about what it means to be the “Alpha” and the “Omega”? What is He the “Beginning” and the “End” of? Beloved, the Scriptures are very clear about this ... He is the “Beginning” of the creation of God (Rev. 3:14), He is the One Who is in the process of perfecting that creation, and He is the One Who shall ultimately bring it to its full and completely perfected “End” (1 Corinthians 15:24-28). Then Christ (the Son) will hand over that perfectly subjected universe to His God and Father so that God can be ALL in ALL of His creatures! Take a look at these verses from 1 Corinthians chapter 15:

"Then, in the end, after he has brought all governments, authorities, and powers to nothing, he will hand over the Kingdom to his God and Father. For he must rule as king until [God] puts all his enemies under his feet. Then the last enemy, death, will end. For [God] ‘put everything under his feet.’ But when He says that ‘everything has been put under him,’ it’s obvious that this [means] everything except the One who put everything under him. However, after everything has been put under him, then the Son will submit to the One who put everything under him, so God can be everything to everyone (all in all)." (vs.24-28)

Beloved, after what I have shared with you, can you not see why in the distant future, Christ must hand over a perfected creation to His God and Father? Would there be any reason for the Son to do this if He and the Father were one and the same? Beloved, Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the King of kings, and the Lord of lords, the Word of God, the Image of God, the Faithful Witness, the Firstborn of creation and the Firstborn from the dead. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the True and the Holy One, the Effulgence of God’s glory - the One who diffuses the Father’s glory in every way, and He is the Savior of the World and the Redeemer and Reconciler of all men! ... GLORY BE TO THE LORD JESUS CHRIST! PRAISE AND HONOR AND GLORY TO THE LAMB! ...

But beloved ... Jesus Christ is not God in the sense that He is the Father ... but He is God (I will elaborate on this in another article.)
The Scriptures reveal to us that even Christ's reign shall have an end, for His reign lasts only "until" all enemies of God are put under His feet, even the last enemy death itself. That is the "omega" portion of God's creative process. At that point, the Kingdom shall be turned over to God the Father and the perfected universe will enter a timeless realm of which we know very little; a time when God will be Everything to and in absolutely everyone and everything! Imagine that!

And beloved, don’t forget that “Christ the Son” is also a corporate expression of God our Father. As the Spirit of God comes forth in US, and we become perfected in unity (as “one”) in Christ, even as Jesus Christ is perfectly united as “one” with His Father, THEN the world will see and know that Jesus Christ is truly the Lord of all and the Savior of the world! THEN they all will know that the Father truly sent Him as the Effulgence of His radiant glory made manifest in a man, even as He will then be sending us as an expression of that same glory! THEN the world will be able to see and understand the Father’s perfect plan to reconcile them all to Himself through Jesus Christ the Lamb of God! Ah beloved ... THEN the world will understand just how much the Father really loves them ... that He loves them “even as He loves the Son” (John 17:21-23). Just how awesome is that?

All things have come forth from the One and only God and Father ... We exist for Him! Jesus Christ is the Son; the Lord of all... and by Him all things were created, and through Him they all exist.

May the Lord grant you understanding of these things. And may the Love of the Father be poured out abundantly on you all ...
