The Body is NOT the Bride ...

David Weber

13th Dec 07
Now, I'm not sure if y'all are aware of this or not (perhaps you are), but the Body (of Christ) is NOT the Bride (of Christ). Did you know that? I do feel led to share on this now, but just very briefly ...

Let me just say here, that even as God extracted material from the side of a sleeping Adam to prepare for Adam an Eve, so also is the Father in the end of this age extracting material (a remnant portion) from the side of a sleeping Body of Christ (that which is unconscious and unresponsive to most revelation that the Father is now bringing forth), and FROM THAT REMNANT PORTION - He is forming and fashioning a Bride for His Son.

That's all that I feel led to share on this, for now.

Grace and peace to you all,

D

Regarding "The Body is NOT the Bride"-- a sister wrote in ...

David:

How can you say that? He sent His son for those that receive Him, and they are the sons of God and ultimately the bride. What you are saying almost sounds cultish! -- Jxxxx.....
.

In response to her, I was able to share this ...

It is the Spirit and the Bride that say "Come" at the end of the book of Revelation, Jxxxx, because it is an elect remnant that God will first become ONE with. That remnant can then speak and minister to others exactly as the Father desires to minister to them, for they are ONE in will and purpose (and even in voice) with Him, even as Jesus prayed for in John 17. This is so that ALL people may eventually come to be ONE with the Father, Jxxxx -- God all in all. This is God's plan, not man's. There's nothing "cultish" about it. You're hearing with the ears of religion, sister. Please pray for ears that can hear what the Spirit has to say to the church in this day. -- D.

The following two short articles were written and sent out quite some time ago, but they seem to serve as a fitting follow up to the most recent e-mail about a remnant bride. Acknowledgment is given here to J. Preston Eby for some of his great insights into this matter of the bride of Christ and the Marriage of the Lamb. -- D

Brides Birth Sons

Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to Him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and His wife hath made herself ready. And he saith unto me, "Write, 'Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb'" (Rev. 19:7, 9).

And Jesus spake unto them again by parables, and said, The Kingdom of Heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son, and sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding ... saying, 'Tell them which are bidden, "Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage'" (Mat. 22:1-4).

Beloved friends in Jesus,

I hope to clarify with this article, some truths about the coming of Christ as He comes as the Bridegroom for His bride. I'm going to be discussing some things here about the Marriage Feast and the Marriage of the Lamb, and I want to make it clear before we go any further that these are NOT exclusively future events, but are something that some people have already entered into, are entering into, or shall soon enter into on a personal level.

I would also like to clear away some of the doctrinal presuppositions held by some, that Christ is coming from heaven to take His bride away from earth to some big banquet hall in the sky, where she will stuff her flesh with roast turkey, mashed potatoes, and pie a-la-mode, while the poor souls who didn’t make “the rapture” suffer the hellish torments of the Antichrist in the Great Tribulation. Is there anyone here (on this list) who still actually believes that ignorant invention and senseless delusion of Mystery Babylon? If there is, I pray that the Lord might WAKE YOU UP now, and that so that you can come away from the harlot's seductive witchcraft to come to Him!! That is what brideship is all about, you know?-- COMING TO HIM!

With that out of the way, let me try to share with you all the difference between “brideship” and “sonship.”

Beloveds, when Elohim created man, He made him “male and female” in His own image, for Elohim Himself has all of the attributes of male and female within His nature. As we mature in Christ, God relates to us through these different facets of His nature. In this way, we may truly become the (feminine) bride of Christ and also the (masculine) sons of the Father (as well as many other things).

“Brideship” speaks of the spiritually feminine relationship of intimate love and reverent submission to Christ, whereas “sonship” embodies the spiritually masculine characteristics of strength, authority, power, and dominion to rule and reign over all things. Dear ones, these are TWO DIFFERENT LEVELS OF RELATIONSHIP, and “brideship” precedes “sonship.” This is why the Spirit has given us in Revelation chapter twelve the example of a glorious sun-clad woman giving birth to a remarkable man-child who is to rule all nations with a rod of iron. This graphic picture reveals to us that it is the relationship of brideship that births the realm of sonship.

This that I share on here is shown to us in Jesus’ words, "I am the way, the truth and the life; no man comes to the Father but by Me." In these words we are shown that our relationship to Christ as a “bride” will forerun our relationship to the Father as a “son.” Beloved, it is the bride that must bring forth the man-child, individually and also corporately. If you read Revelation 12 in this light, you should be able to see that on a corporate level, she is the portion of the church who entered into intimacy of fellowship and vital union with Christ, but who was not fully prepared for that illustrious ministry of glory and strength and dominion over all things as the sons of God. The difference between the woman of Revelation 12 and the man-child is one of spiritual maturity. The son that comes forth from the womb of the woman has reached a greater level of maturity than the one who birthed Him. Such are things in the economy of God.

Beloved of the Lord, there is a call proceeding from heaven’s throne in this day; a call to come out of all the systems of man and religion to come to HIM. This is a call to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, where one can feast upon the riches of present truth and the depth of God’s revelatory Word. Come out to meet Him, dear ones! Leave Babylon’s soulish banquet tables and come to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb! There is no pomp or ceremony here. No, it is simply CHRIST calling His Bride to Himself!

Beloved, there are a lot of professing “sons of God” in the church today, but the truth of the matter is that a son cannot be birthed until one has first reached a level of maturity of the bride; one who has given herself completely and unreservedly for her lover; one who has lost her own name and identity to take His. She has left all to follow Him. In mind, will, desire, emotion, hope, plans and actions ... the two become ONE!

What I tried to share in the last article is that Christ is coming (rising up from within us) to take us as His bride for Himself, and this because He desires to bring us to the next level of maturity which is that of true sonship. The sons are the progeny of the marriage relationship. Marriage must come before offspring. Doesn't this make a lot of sense? (LOL).

A Follow up to “Brides Birth Sons”

In a follow up to “Brides Birth Sons,” I want to share with you just quickly a picture type found in Mary that reveals our spiritual progression from conception of the seed of God, to our marriage to the Lamb of God, to the birthing of the man-child ... which also reveals to us God’s full salvation plan for us.

I have been a little perplexed by a few things that the Lord has revealed lately, and this mostly because the spiritual picture presented to us is that of an unwed but pregnant bride-elect! That just didn't sound so holy to me! Then the Lord showed me that Mary is a picture type of all of this. She conceived of the man-child when she was betrothed to Joseph (as we do at regeneration at the time of our betrothal to Christ) but she did not bring forth the man-child until after she was wed to him (and so it is with our marriage to the Lamb).

I won’t go into great detail about this at this time, but I will point out that in this progression from the “unwed pregnant bride-elect stage,” to the “married wife stage,” to the birthing of “the man-child stage,” is found the whole picture of God’s salvation plan for His creation man. It looks like this ...

SPIRIT SALVATION – Betrothal - (conception – regeneration)

SOUL SALVATION - Marriage – (marriage of the soul and spirit – death to all self-will and self rule)

BODY SALVATION –- Birthing of the man-child (resurrection – transfiguration)

Once again, I feel the need to reiterate; "brideship leads to sonship" saints! Spirit salvation precedes and then leads to soul salvation saints! And soul salvation precedes and then leads to body salvation saints! There are no “sons of God” before there are “brides of the Lamb!” Are you gettin it?

With this, I encourage you all to work out your salvation (soul salvation that is) with a proper sense of awe and responsibility!

God bless you all. In Him -- D

Oh, and one more thing ... the restoration ministry of (a corporate) Elijah leads to the (corporate) manifestation of the bride. Think on that ...
