A Dream

Let me share with you a dream that I had last night. I was preparing for a battle, and I was given (by some men) the pieces to a gun (a Gatling Gun, or something like it) which I was to assemble and then use in the battle. For some reason though, this thing would not go together. I don't think that I had all of the pieces, and there were no instructions for the assembly of this thing, so things were just not working out. All the while I messed with this thing, the enemy troops approached.

Anyway, a skirmish with the enemy came and went, and I was pretty much uninvolved in it because I was busy messing around trying to assemble man's carnal weapon (this whole situation much reminded me of David trying on Saul's armor in which he thought he might fight Goliath). At that point in the dream ... I woke up.

Upon waking from the dream, the Lord said to me quite clearly ...

"The weapons of My warfare are not carnal but are mighty to the pulling down of strongholds. I Am going to give power to My two witnesses, and they shall prophesy for one thousand two hundred and sixty days."

The last e-mail that I sent to you was about a dream that I had recently, and one from which I was awakened to hear the following words ...

"The weapons of My warfare are not carnal but are mighty to the pulling down of strongholds. I Am going to give power to My two witnesses, and they shall prophesy for one thousand two hundred and sixty days."

In a follow-up to that last e-mail, I feel that I should share with you now about an mp3 teaching which I was directed to listen to on the very night which followed that dream.

This particular mp3 teaching was something that seemed to be randomly selected, but I had prayed for the Lord to select it for me, and it was called "Judgment of the Church" (or something to that effect) and was a sermon given by Dr. Robert Thompson. I put this teaching on and then laid down on the bed to listen to it, but I fell asleep almost immediately after putting it on and I heard almost none of the teaching.

I say "almost none" here, because about three quarters of the way through the teaching the Father woke me up (out of a sound sleep) to hear just one verse. Out of the entire teaching, I heard JUST ONE VERSE from the bible, but something that served as another powerful witness to what has been coming forth strongly from the Spirit. The scripture verse that I heard was this one ...

"And I will give power to My two witnesses and they will prophesy for one thousand two hundred and sixty days."

Beloved, I'll tell you why I think the Father is bringing attention to this particular verse as He is now ...

He's giving this word as a revelation of His plan to get a Bride ready for the Bridegroom. Yes, as God our Father sent John the Baptist in the spirit and power of Elijah to prepare a people for the first advent of the Lord Jesus Christ, so also will He soon send a "friend of the Bridegroom" company in the spirit and power of Elijah to help get the Bride of Christ ready for the coming of her Bridegroom in the first resurrection.

The bottom line, friends, is that as much as we all love to teach and hear about the culmination of the first resurrection ... we're not ready for it. So, God in His mercy is preparing a people who will go forth in the spirit and power of Elijah to get a people ready for that blessed and holy resurrection. It's just that simple. This that I describe IS the ministry of the "Two Witnesses."

Now, I'm not going to share much more on this here, but let me just end this by giving you something to meditate on before the Lord ...

The Elijah company IS the "Two Witnesses" and IS the "friend of the bridegroom" whose main mission is to prepare God's SONS for the first resurrection. One can be part of the "Elijah company" and can also be a Son; part of the Bride of Christ and one who is appointed to attain to the first resurrection, BUT, just because one is called to be a "Son," that does not necessarily make one a part of the Elijah company.

I'll leave you to meditate on that ....

PS -- A couple of us just got back from a short trip to Buffalo where we saw the Spirit of the Lord break out and profoundly touch some deeply hurting people. Just last night (around midnight or so) we were in a park in the middle of downtown Buffalo where God, by His Spirit, put together an awesome prayer meeting whereby some homeless men who sleep in that park seemed to touch the very heart of God for themselves.

I ask if you might pray for a couple of these brothers who we met last night. One's name is James, and is someone who has lost all of his fingers (except one thumb) and both of his legs due to the harsh Buffalo winters (frostbite). The other brother's name is John. John is a major reason for our trip to Buffalo yesterday. God will direct you how to pray for John. One other brother that you might consider praying for too is "Peng." We met Peng in the Buffalo hostel that we stayed in. Peng is a doctor from Nanjing, China, and is someone being drawn by the Father's chords of love right now, but Peng is a little fearful of getting involved in the "underground" Chinese church just yet, so -- he could really use your prayers. I sense that God has big plans for Peng. He is a very sweet spirited man.
